Yemisi Agweye is a legal practitioner with almost two decades experience in providing legal advice to both public and private sector clients on diverse commercial transactions. Over the years, she has garnered experience in providing legal services to both public and private sector clients on diverse banking and finance, commercial and corporate transactions. She has been instrumental in the documentation of several regional and cross-border transactions which includes, acquisition of shares in telecoms companies, advising FMCGs on laws and regulations governing their business, debt and equity transactions, land related transactions, concession arrangements between government entities and private companies as well as preparing relevant documentation and effectively liaising with regulators and relevant stakeholders on behalf of clients.

She was the Senior Manager Contracts & Corporate Advisory in Ikeja Electric Plc, the largest electricity distribution company in Nigeria where she advised commercial and regulatory risk associated with the business in a dynamic electricity market environment. She also liaised with relevant stakeholders for the development of renewable energy projects in alignment with the company’s energy growth goals.
She is currently a Partner in Three Peaks Energy Consultants Limited.
She holds a law degree from Lagos State University and an LL.M in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulations from the University of Warwick. She is a member of the of the Nigerian Bar Association and a fellow of the RMI Energy Transition Academy.
